Lisa-Claire Sigal   Owner & Founder of Green & Gray Dressage LLC

As a toddler in New York City, Lisa-Claire was drawn to the Mounted Police that patrolled her neighborhood. When the family moved to the suburbs, LC was finally able to ride herself on a tiny paint pony named Apache. From there she started formal training at Boulder Brook in Scarsdale, NY with Leon Pitt.

It was at Boulder Brook that Lisa-Claire first saw a dressage rider and horse, but it was not a mainstream thing at the time and no one really knew what that guy was doing!  On a visit to her grandparents in France, LC was able to see a special exhibition at Versailles where she learned that this wonderful pair at home were doing "dressage".

It was an uphill battle to find a dressage trainer that would teach a child in the 1980s but LC insisted and persevered, starting her dressage training with Olympic judge Gary Rockwell and then with Olympian Lendon Gray.

She eventually was able to train with many renowned Masters of our time, including Patrick Le Rolland, former head of the French National Riding School, Dutch National trainer Henk Von Bergen, Leif Soerensen, Danish National trainer, Conrad Schumacher, German and Dutch National trainer, US Olympian Steffen Peters and Phillippe Karl, former member of the French National Riding School.
